Aira Force

Aira Force was composed 2022-2023 for Martynas Levickis and Mikroorkestra.

Aira Force is a waterfall in the Lake District in the UK, and is situated near Ullswater. This piece is inspired by the calm flow of Aira Beck's gentle stream before the waterfall, becoming more agitated as it approaches a precipice, and then wildly frantic as it falls and churns down a narrow ravine. The music ends as suddenly as the falls themselves, with the stream now still and gentle with intricate eddies.
