Moments was composed in 2014 for Psappha, conducted by John Casken.

Moments is representative of an instrument that is broken, but the instrument here is the ensemble as a whole. At the beginning the players fight to be heard and to have a voice. Moments of calm begin to come through the combative texture, becoming more pervasive each time until the final section, during which the ensemble appears to have its voice restored.
