Scherzo started life as an étude for solo piano in 2012. An early experiment in writing energetic virtuosic music for the piano, it was created as part of a masters degree at the University of Manchester.

This new version of the piece was revised in 2022, and translated to accordion for Martynas Levickis as a fun showcase of his skill, dexterity, and showmanship.
